Program

NEW! The conference will add another day to the schedule, allowing for greater networking opportunities and more in-depth concurrent sessions! Don’t miss out as we mark AASHE’s five-year anniversary.

AASHE 2011: Creating Sustainable Campuses and Communities*, is created through content provided by campuses, businesses and non-profits sharing their success stories, lessons learned, case studies and collaborations.

This year's conference will highlight campus tours from Host Sponsors, community activities to get you acquainted with Pittsburgh, additional AASHE and partner workshops, keynotes, the AASHE EXPO and EXPO Reception, and much more! Keep an eye out for more details as they are announced on the homepage of the conference site and the Conference Schedule tab.

See what others are saying about past AASHE conferences!

  • I liked the breadth of topics covered – in just a couple of days I could hear about sustainability planning, operations, education for sustainable development and student involvement.

  • I liked everything about the conference; in fact I‘ve been telling everyone that it is one of the best conferences I’ve ever attended (and I have been to a lot of national professional conferences.)

  • The presentations and discussions inspired people to take the next step with campus sustainability and to really build solid programs that confront all of the environmental and social sustainability issues our campuses face.

  • Great keynote speakers! I really liked the way the conference started on Sunday evening with the keynote speaker and then the reception in the expo area with lots of food. It was a nice and really motivating start to the conference and a nice time for networking.

  • I liked the exposure to new and innovative ideas, and I am pleased with the increasing level of sophistication in the discussion of programs.

  • The conference was great and inspiring! NO QUESTION!!

  • Awesome people – the AASHE staff rocks unlike any other!
